The Future of the Internet

March 3, 2011

I read the following in the Eureka magazine that comes with The Times.

In Ten Years…

The web will be freed from the confines of computers and gadgets. Interfaces will be found on everything from fridges to cars, which could for example arrange repairs before owners realise there’s a problem.

and Beyond.

Processing power of computers double every two years. So in 2111, chips 1,125 trillion times more powerful than today’s could be inside people, perhaps linking their brains directly to the internet.

What do you think?
